WELCOME TO D.C.!!
Here I go again, I just can't get enough of these internships...Actually it's quite interesting how this all came about. I applied for this D.C. internship last fall when I was offered to intern in Scotland. So when I spent memorial day out here, a series of events lead me to run into my friend Alia who worked with Congressman Chris Cannon last spring and she helped get me the interview that later qualified me for this internship. Thanks Alia! My internship consists of giving Capitol tours, secretarial work and constituent services. Anyone who believe's it to be a hopeless cause to write or call your congress-representative...think again! I see to it that all the mail, faxes, emails and calls get logged and attended to and it's a lengthy process! Anyway, I hope to keep you posted on the exciting semester and hope it ends with greater opportunity!
My sister Natalie came to visit me my first weekend here, what a rock star! I love my sister!
My awesome roomates! Rebecca, Emily, Me, Randi and Erin on the metro on the way to celebrate my b-day in Georgetown. This is such a cool city, I love it!
